The brothers Jacob(1785-1863) and Wilhelm(1786-1859) Grimm came into the world during a curiously authorised period of German History. This movement saw renewed interest in folk-culture and in hitch; the folk-tale, folk-song and folk-art. By the time the Grimm brothers were at university studying faithfulness in the early 1800s, the movement was gathering momentum.
